I can’t help it if people crash because they take their eyes off the road to admire my amazing BMW.

LOL I love your post title.
On a more serious note, this report confirms a long-held suspicion of mine. Failure to signal is not merely annoying; it’s disruptive and dangerous as well.

I’m originally from Mississippi, did a stint in Pennsylvania for 7 years and moved to Kentucky just a few months ago. I have never been in a place where people refuse to use turn signals as much as this place. It’s not even 50/50. I’d say at least 70/30 they don’t get used.
I agree it’s disruptive. It’s about the only form of communication one motorist has to another and failure to let others know WTF your intentions are really kinks the flow of things.
The top 5 driving trends in KY are no blinkers, smoking, being handicapped, missing bumpers not having insurance.

“and new cars can be equipped with warnings, similar to the one that tells you to put on your seatbelt.”
More nannies are always the answer.

I think Tesla drivers might give them a challenge. I've been behind a few now and they all did the changing lanes constantly without ever even thinking of using the turn signals thing that BMW drivers are infamous for. Of course it's possible that they also own a BMW.

I’ve seen that more than once in the Seattle area. My favorite was an unsignaled multiple lane change while holding a phone. I suspect the entitlement meter was off the charts.

Ban BMWs. We should make a law requiring people to use a turn signal when making a lane change. That would eliminate the problem.

Yea, but that’s like left lane hogs. Even if it’s banned, it needs to be enforced to matter

I’ll troll my Dad with this later.
(He uses his turn signals.)
